Floor Tiling in Reading
A floor is the largest uninterrupted surface in your home, so any dip or lip in it becomes obvious the moment you walk across it barefoot.

We check the existing floor with a straight edge before we quote. Concrete screeds get ground and filled, timber floors get over-boarded and screwed down until they are sound, and every floor is primed and levelled before the first tile goes down. Then the tiles are laid with levelling clips so the corners meet flush, not one lip proud of the next.
Layout matters as much as flatness. We set out from the main sight line, usually the doorway you walk through most, so the full tile sits where you look first and the cuts sit against the skirting. Herringbone, chevron, brick bond and straight stack each need a different starting point, and we plan that on paper before we open a box.

Floor Tiling questions
Not directly. We over-board with a cement-based tile backer board screwed at close centres, which gives a stable surface and keeps movement out of the tile bed.
